What is tDCS?

Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) is a non-invasive brain stimulation (NIBS) technique. It is based on the controlled application of a low-intensity electrical current, vibrating between 1 and 2 milliamperes (mA), through the placement of two electrodes, one anodal and one cathodal, on the surface of the brain. tDCS is an emerging therapy for neurological conditions.
